Team 4619 Hawkbots is a student run robotics team from Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, California.  We work to spread the mission of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) throughout our students, school, and community.

FOR INSPIRATION & RECOGNITION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY- That is the meaning of FIRST Robotics.  FIRST Robotics is a worldwide recognized program in which students use traits such as teamwork, ingenuity, and creativity to participate in building a robot from scratch.  Every year, a new game is released and the task at hand is to design, build, and perfect a robot in order to excel in the annual game sought as competition.  Time, however, is ticking and teams are given six intense weeks to do so.  After the six weeks are up, robots are packed away into bags and students must wait until they play and compete in regionals and championships to unseal their creation.
We are the Ocean View Robotics, also known as team 4619 Hawkbots, and our team was founded in 2012 by a group of high school seniors interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics who wanted to create a positive change and make history.  Since then, we have continued to compete and expand our knowledge with the help of our experienced mentors.
During our off-season, we remain active by hosting outreach events for members in our community of varying ages.  These acts help spread awareness to younger generations and it allows them to experience the endless possibilities of engineering.  The FIRST Robotics program permits students from a national scale to experience the hardest fun they will ever have.
